The Game Theory v0.1

Intro

  • In economies you have all sorts of room for imbalance and exploits. But if you get it right, an economy can be a very powerful tool. It can shape the community behavior, it can change the pace of progression, offer difficult choices.

  • We see our economy as the flow of resources around a system, examples of resources are our NFTs, $NEON, SOL, Discord XP, Upgrade tokens, a Governance Token and anything that needs an effort to be gained.

Economy Entities

Most economies shares these entities (among others)

  • Tap (aka source, faucet)

    • Adds new resources to an economy: Staking a Geexo will generate $NEON. Selling a Geexo in a Secondary market will generate an income on the GeexoDAO Treasure. Burning a Geexo will generate $NEON. Tweaking the taps you incentivize the investor/collector behavior according to the economy needs.

    • Also, like a real tap you can change the flow of resources, this will affect how scarce or valuable a resource is. However this can affect the pace and balance of the economy. A broken tap can also mean economy busting exploits, like giving non-sustainable rewards in Staking.

  • Convertor (converts one resource into another)

    • On every conversion there is a progression rate that you can speed-up or slow-down according to the economy needs for that moment of the project. Those are knobs to your economy.

    • Convertors can be a great way to encourage decision making throughout the lifecycle of our economy.

    • There are several convertors on the Geexo economy and there will be more as we add use cases, this will create different forces that if used right can be beneficial for the community as a whole.

  • Drain (aka: skink - Permanently remove resources from the economy)

    • In Web3 economy this is the burning. Burn finite resource to get a deflationary loop.

  • Trader (Buy and sell resources)

    • The marketplace or NFT trading platform is an entity by itself, allowing to indirectly give value to our resources, if you can buy a DeGod with 300 $NEON or traded 1 Geexo for 1 DAA that tells a lot.
