The questions

1. What is a Geexolotl? Geexolotls art collection is a careful and detailed crafted parody about the geek passion, immersed in the exciting and mysterious world of the Axolotls. Created by a highly experienced ART team that will let loose 3,333 of the most awesome detailed NFTs. It will be live on the Solana Blockchain in June 16th 2022, setting the beginning of the GeexoVerse.

2. When is the official Launch? How much will it cost? - Fair Mint Date: June 16th 2022 - Cost: 3 Fair Mint will be powered by Candy Machine v2

3. What about rarity? Rarity drives a large part of the economy around collectible NFTs and produces excitement. It is the result of a calculation which focuses on the various traits found in the NFTs of a collection. Geexolotls collection have more than 250 parody traits, elements and characters that define the rarity of the NFT. All of them are purely for parody purposes. Everybody wants the rarest Geexolotls and we all dream of getting one of the Legendary Geexolotls. We will start with Moonrank which is the absolute statistical rarity service for the Solana NFT ecosystem. We will continue with Rarity.tools to have a broad reach outside Solana.

6. Will there be royalties for holders? Royalties from secondary markets sales: 4% Project Royalties, 4% DAO Treasure.

We are not giving royalties to Holders.

There are two reasons why we think giving royalties to holders is not the way we want to go:

First: Big players in the ecosystem are expressing that NFT Royalties are starting to look like Securities. For instance the FTX.US president Brett Harrison. See FTX US FAQ (https://help.ftx.us/hc/en-us/articles/4410399400215-Solana-NFT-FAQ). Another example is that Ethereum-focused NFT marketplace OpenSea has similar concerns. See OpenSea terms and conditions (https://opensea.io/tos).

Second: It’s smarter to focus on roadmap execution because that’s what will add value to the Geexolotls. Projects using this approach are vesting very few SOL every week, marginal amounts compared to the value of the NFT.

7. Why Solana? The Solana network processes a remarkable 50,000 to 65,000 transactions per second (Visa processes 24,000). Solana does this for a low fee of $0.00001 to $0.00025 cents per transaction and does it VERY fast. Furthermore, the network is incredibly energy efficient: https://solana.com/news/solana-energy-usage-report-november-2021. For this and more we Geexos will continue building on top of Solana!

8. How many traits has a Geexolotl? Will you use auto-generation? We have 8 Traits categories and +280 hand crafted traits. Every Geexo will be artistically coherent, consistent with the collection and uniquely beautiful. Rest assured, you won’t get an incoherent auto-generated NFT. We know it sucks.

9. What is a Fair Mint? What is Candy Machine v2? We want to have the “first-come, first-served” experience that harkened back to the days of ripping open Pokemon trading card packs. A Fair Mint means every Minter will have the same chance of getting the rarest Geexos of the collection. To enforce this, we will use the Candy Machine Project from the Metaplex Foundation (https://www.metaplex.com/), the NFT Standard for the Solana network.

10. Where is the digital artwork stored? It will be stored on Arweave, a decentralized data storage that backs data with sustainable and perpetual mechanisms, allowing developers and users to truly store data forever.
